Rocket is now here with Sky’s Path to Home, and he is seriously the sweetest boy ever. He is about 6-8 months old.
He is crate trained and potty trained, gets along well with other dogs, and is very curious about cats. More than anything, Rocket just loves to be loved. He wants affection, attention, and to be close to his people.
We have noticed that when Rocket goes in and out of his crate, he sometimes cowers down. It appears he may have had some negative experiences or punishment associated with being crated in the past. We are working with him to help him understand that his crate is a safe, comfortable place and that he does not need to be afraid.
Rocket is also working on leash training and is doing really well. He can get so excited sometimes that he wants to jump up on you, so we are continuing to work on his manners and helping him learn how to manage all that excitement.
He really is such a loving, sweet boy who just wants someone to love him back.
Rocket is scheduled to be neutered on October 8.
We will continue sharing updates as he settles in and shows us more of his personality.
